Books Alive

Books Alive is an innovative literacy program using the arts to explore and interpret books in new and exciting ways. This program is designed to impact the English literacy of the participants while teaching collaboration and community building skills. By reaching young readers and future readers, Books Alive participants will:
  • Show an increased enthusiasm for literature and reading;
  • Exhibit an enhanced connection and engagement to reading material and book exploration;
    demonstrate a renewed sense of cooperation and community
    display continued development in self esteem and empathy for others.
The Books Alive Program can be designed to suit the specific needs of a school classroom, community group, library, or other group of youth. We custom tailor the program to each group of young people and we encourage participation and input from our cooperating partners, whether schools, libraries, nonprofit agencies or other youth communities.
