This is the 6th year that Debby has taught this class at The Phoenix Theatre Company. She has helped countless actors get signed with agents and empower their careers. She is a graduate from ASU with a BM and became an Actors Equity Union member in 1988. She is represented by FORD/Robert Black Agency in Phoenix and Atlas Talent in N.Y. She had a supporting role in the feature films “Ingenious” (currently on Netflix), starring Oscar Nominee from the “Hurt Locker” Jeremy Renner, and “Intersect,” starring James Morrison from the TV show “24.” She has been in over 100 TV commercials currently airing: Cliff Castle Casino and 2 national commercials for Funeral Advantage and Samsung PowerBot. Debby was a regular on ABC 15’s Sonoran Living as their Theater Critic. She is a member of the national touring company of “Menopause the Musical” and has performed in leading roles here at The Phoenix Theatre Company like Donna in Mamma Mia, Emily in Elf, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Betty in White Christmas, and Judy Denmark in Ruthless. In addition, she is a soloist with The Phoenix Symphony and was the opening act for Bob Newhart at Wild Horse Pass Casino. Debby has been married 32 years and has 2 children.

Debby Rosenthal has taught our summer camp’s On-Camera Masterclass for the last six years and now she’s back and teaching it with our new online education initiative—Next Stages!
Debbie has over 19 years of teaching experience, has acted in 100+ tv commercials and you may have even seen her in our Elf: The Musical and Mamma Mia. In her week-long On-Camera Masterclass, your child or teen will focus on the fun, creative side of acting through the lens of a camera and learn powerful ways to communicate on FaceTime and Zoom—skills that are needed now more than ever!
Experience real-time, live instruction with classmates and a professional, experienced instructor. This masterclass will focus on the fun and creative side of acting through the lens of a camera for commercials, movies and self-taping auditions. It will also include how to present yourself in the most powerful way to communicate on FaceTime and Zoom. Each student will thrive as they interact with each other and perform in every class. On the last day, you will be given all the information you need to pursue getting an agent and the business side of being a professional actor. You will finish this masterclass with powerful techniques, self-awareness, real-world knowledge of the business, and more confidence. But most importantly, you’re going to learn a ton while having fun!
