The Lemonade Stand is a staged reading and a part of the Caleb Reese Festival of New Plays and Musicals.
By Matthew Fowler
Garret Miller is either having a midlife crisis or is trying to recapture his youth when he starts a lemonade stand on the street in front of his suburban house. He has not yet decided which. What he does know is that he was just fired from the only job he has ever had. His wife is cheating on him. His brother is a pariah, and the college girl next door would make a great lemonade-stand intern. In this dramatic comedy, Garret sets out to prove that the American Dream, an American Dream, or at least his American Dream still exists.
