Usher Opportunities
Do you love theatre arts? Are you looking to give back to your community? Volunteer at The Phoenix Theatre Company as an usher and become a part of the arts community.
As an usher at The Phoenix Theatre Company, you are critical to the success of each performance and every audience member’s experience. Volunteer ushers act as ambassadors and greet all guests and assist with general questions in our lobby spaces before the show. Once doors open for seating, ushers perform multiple duties such as ticket scanning, ushering patrons to their seats, handing out programs, assisting with taking photos in the lobby, cleaning the theatre after the performance, and other duties as assigned.
Our volunteer ushers:

Learn and utilize valuable customer service, teamwork, and leadership skills

Earn merit hours that can be redeemed towards tickets to our performances.

Can request sign off on volunteer hours for volunteer requirements for clubs, student organizations/societies, scholarship applications etc.
Essential Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (3-5 hours)

Lift up to 15 pounds.

Independently navigate stairs on a frequent basis.

Complete tasks requiring repetitive hand movements such as pressing buttons or squeezing.

Commit to being familiar with our shows and ticket structures.
