Maria is honored to contribute to development of new works. Maria created the role of Carmen Sanabia in James Garcia’s play Voices of Valor: The Latino and Latina WWII Oral History Project,and portrayed Sonia Sotomayor in his adaptation of  My Beloved World.. At the Phoenix Theatre New Works Festival she has appeared in The Relief Society, Community, Jennifer’s Birth, and  The Up Side of Down, among others. Recent local credits include Billy Elliot, (Phoenix Theatre); The Glass Menagerie (Guest Artist at Glendale Community College); BIG: The Musical (Theater Works). Maria is a proud member of Actors Equity, and represented by Leighton Agency, Inc.
