The King’s Speech
July 8 – August 9, 2020
On the eve of World War 2, newly-coronated King George VI is faced with a crumbling Europe and a country in despair. With a national broadcast he has the chance to unite his country and provide a light in the growing darkness. There’s only one problem: he has a terrible stutter and a crippling fear of public speaking. Linguist Lionel Logue may have the key, but only if Britain’s king is able to forget everything he learned and risk big. This remarkable true story becomes a rousing stage play, reminding us all of the power of our own voice.
