Featuring the music of Janine McGuire and Arri Lawton Simon
Saturday, February 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the Hormel Theatre
Look Up, a celebration of love, life, diversity, culture, and humanity, will feature songs from McGuire and Simon’s daring new musical Borders, a show about two men who fall in love amidst the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and from their immersive musical Express, a show exploring transformative moments on the NYC subway...plus a few additional audience favorites from their six-year collaboration. Hosted by McGuire and Simon, this cabaret will explore themes of inclusivity and diversity in a fresh and fun way, with songs that range from Middle Eastern-inspired pop to rousing gospel and emotive folk.
Featuring the music of Amanda Prahl and Alexander Tom
Saturday, February 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the Hormel Theatre
It Happens is a cabaret about hope, laughter, and the capacity to love. Featured in the show will be songs from Prahl and Tom’s first musical together, Til Death, a sharp 1920s-set comedy about social climbing and the dangers of nostalgia, as well as new, never-before-heard songs as the duo moves forward into the next chapter of their partnership. It is a celebration of where the themes and music of the past and present collide, with plenty of humor and heart.
